Work is now complete on a new main office for Tallahassee-Leon Federal Credit Union, a project planned, designed and built by BCI in Tallahassee, Florida. The grand opening celebration is taking place June 17, 2009.
The new facility, in one of Tallahassee's hottest retail locations, will house the credit union's management and back office staff along with a full service branch. The building totals 8,163 square feet and features four drive thru lanes plus an ATM. It sits on two acres.
BCI was first engaged by Tallahassee-Leon FCU to perform a market study in search of the best place for relocating their main office. The previous building was located in an industrial area that didn't offer much potential for growth, and the credit union's Board and management had aggressive plans for increasing their reach and service to members. After the study identified areas with the greatest potential, BCI worked with local real estate professionals to find the perfect site, and senior designer Kyle Edwards designed a building to make optimum use of that site.
"We're excited to see this project completed," said Bill Minahan, BCI's president. "The facility is stunning, and will bring added visibility to the credit union that we believe will translate into increased growth and viability. This is a great addition to the Tallahassee community."
